NOTICE OF NON-DISCRIMINATION (TITLE IX)

The White Pine County School District (WPCSD) is committed to providing an educational environment free from discrimination on the basis of sex, as required by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. Title IX is a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex (gender) in any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.

The requirement not to discriminate extends to admission and employment, and all educational programs and activities, including but not limited to, academic programs, extracurricular activities, and athletics. Sex-based discrimination includes sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking.

Inquiries about the application of Title IX to the White Pine County School District may be referred to the District’s Title IX Coordinator, the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights, or both.
